An ice measurement yesterday confirmed that the ice has reached a safe thickness. The ice will open for the 2020 season on Wednesday, Jan. 22nd at 7:00 AM.
First-timers and fishing experts alike, come try your hand at ice fishing on Mt. Akagi!
ENTRANCES For now, the only entrances to the ice will be:
1. The Daidō（大洞）entrance near the shopping street on the southeast bank of the lake
2. The Noshiri（沼尻）entrance near Aoki Ryokan.
Please take note that it is NOT possible to enter from Akagi Shrine.
