Read about our e-bike tours from a UK perspective

May 23, 2023 [Information]

UK magazine National Geographic Traveller ran an online article for us, with detailed descriptions of two of our e-bike tour routes. Potential travelers from all around the world can read the article here:

https://www.nationalgeographic.co.uk/travel/2022/04/how-to-explore-the-landscapes-of-japans-mount-akagi-on-a-cycling-adventure

The first route in the article is the ride around Mt. Akagi. The 2-day, 75-mile ride guides more experienced cyclists past everything the foothills have to offer. Cherry blossoms in April and azaleas in May, hidden temples and mountain views, great restaurants and relaxing foot baths. Although the route is long, you’ll have a relaxing stay at a traditional Japanese ryokan (hot spring inn) to break up your trip. Plus, the e-bikes make big climbs more accessible to intermediate riders.

The second route is a more beginner-friendly ride around the crater lakes near the summit of the mountain. Chow down on fish from the lake while gazing out at the water. Cruise over to the bright red Akagi Shrine. And finally, revel in the dramatic, panoramic views from Torii Pass, with a view of Akagi’s crater on one side and the endless Kanto Plain on the other.

Thanks so much to the team at National Geographic Traveller for working on the article with us.
